Something For Kate
Echolalia

What does a band do when their last album was not only a huge sales success but was also critically acclaimed? Well if you are SFK you produce another record equal to that of 'Beautiful Sharks.' If by now you are familiar with SFK's style and sound (and lets face it who isn't), then you will know exactly what to expect. First single 'Monsters' continues the fine tradition of excellence, but it's not until you delve deeper into the rest of 'Echolalia' that you'll find your little corner of satisfaction. Opener 'Stunt Show' eases you into the fold as Paul Dempsey's voice plods along, but it's not until you listen to the next track, 'Three Dimensions' that the album begins to take shape as they speed it up just a little. SFK show patience is a virtue, as you need to sit down and listen to this a few times before you can thoroughly enjoy its intricacies. 'You Only Hide' is a sweet, gently paced song that reveals its inner beauty very slowly. 'Say Something,' one of the faster tracks is easily an album highlight as it purrs along like a finely tuned sports car. All in all there are 13 songs to enjoy at your leisure, and I must admit to having had more than a few listens to fully appreciate 'Echolalia'
