Jebediah
Jebediah go back about the same amount of time as Something for Kate. Although they don't come from the same place (Jebediah come from Perth) Jebediah and Something for Kate both toured together early in their careers. Jebediah released their 'Twitch' EP around the same time Something for Kate released 'The Answer to Both your Questions'. The played together in small tours like Unipalooza and larger festivals like Homebake and Pushover. Jebediah released their debut album 'Slightly Odway' just after Something for Kate released their debut album 'Elsewhere for 8 Minutes'. For some reason Jebediah started playing their own version of Something for Kate's 'Clint' (Which appears on 'The Answer...') at their live shows. They even recorded it in the studio. Soon after that Something for Kate decided they'd cover a Jebediah song, so they did they're own version of Jebediah's 'Harpoon'. Jebediah put Something for Kate's 'Harpoon' as a B-Side on their 'Harpoon' EP and Something for Kate put Jebediah's 'Clint' as a B-Side on their 'Roll Credit' single. They released a limited edition split double 7" with both versions of the two songs.
